About West Wyalong
West Wyalong is situated at the intersection of the Newell and Mid-Western Highways in central western New South Wales and is the business centre of the Bland Shire. Originally a goldmining town established in the 1890's, the town has enjoyed renewed economic stimulis with the opening of an open cut gold mine at Lake Cowal and the largest egg production facility in the southern hemisphere. West Wyalong is a diversified agricultural region with an emphasis on sheep and wheat farming.
